Sweet Baby Piper…

did not give up easily. She gave us a bit of a hard time, but all she really wanted was to be cuddled! I enjoyed the cuddle time for sure, but each time I would put her down to take some pictures, she rebelled! I think her Mama will be surprised at how many we got and I think they turned out great! Hawaii Family Vacation July 2011

OK, so I am a few months behind in posting these pictures, and am not even close to finished editing them, but thought I would at least post what I did finish soon after we got home. We had a really great time. Of course the kids want to go back as do I! We took Suzie along to help with the kids, and who are we kidding….she is like part of the family! (Just much easier and helpful!) We stayed in the Kehei area of Maui over 4th of July. The pictures will speak for themselves about what we did while there!

The highlight for Andy and Kyle was their surfing lessons. They went out the next day too and had some more fun. Andy was hooked!

Baby Emma was 17 days new for her first photo shoot. She made me work a bit for the sleepy shots, but was won over in the end. She is so very loved by her big brother Parker and her parents. Hope you love your sneak peek, there were lots to choose from!

It was so much fun to capture Mary and her family as they get ready to welcome their baby girl, Ruby in a few weeks! I can’t wait to meet her and capture all of her sweetness! JJ was adorable and smart and knew exactly who was in his mama’s belly. Could her belly be any cuter?? I think not.

So I have been dreaming up this wall of photos for awhile now and it finally came to be. The wall was French Red to start and I decided on a nice gray to serve as the backdrop to the photos. I used 2 depths for the photos, one is about 1/4 inch thick and the other is 3/4 inch thick. The pictures I used in the collage were all taken over the last 2 1/2 years.

I put these up with 3M Command strips. So easy. Love them!! I am so glad it is done and I love how it turned out!!

So these two couldn’t be cuter if they tried. Dallin and Charlee were such sweet babies to work with and for my first time photographing twins, I couldn’t be happier! They were pretty smiley at times too! Thanks for the opportunity to capture these moments that will go by so quickly. Have fun with them!

I had the honor of photographing this sweet little girl when she was 8 days new. To date, this is the sleepiest baby I have photographed. Which means….lots of fun posing! Introducing Charlee at 6 days new. What an amazing blessing she is to her mom and dad. Mom is a fabulous hygienist at our dental office and we couldn’t be happier for them! Patients ask about her on a daily basis and send their love. Another baby I could have kept around longer for sure!

So little Olivia had her mom a bit worried that her photo session would be a flop. She initially had no intention of falling asleep and letting us get those sleepy newborn shots. What a handsome little guy, all 9 lbs, 2 oz. of him! He takes the award in our family for the biggest baby and Paige the Great did it all natural! I took these pictures when he was 4 days new. What a cutie and we decided he looks a bit like Heath did as a baby, which means he has all kinds of handsome in his future!

These newborn girls are just amazingly cute! Little Haley was 12 days old for our photo shoot. A friend from high school, Melissa, was pregnant at our high school reunion and asked me to take pictures when her daughter was born. Of course I was game! I am so glad she brought her sweet little bundle over, she is darling! Here are a few favorites, I hope you enjoy Melissa!

So, Kandy and I have worked in the dental field for some time and were pregnant with our first girls at similar times. She is so energetic and fun and has a great husband to boot! Then add in the cooperative and sweet girls AND a new adorable dog, Luna and you have the makings for a great shoot! We did have to dodge a few sprinkles, but all in all it was a success! I think she is the smallest baby I have photographed weighing in at a birthweight of 6 lbs, 3 oz. Halle and I both decided we could get used to having her around and wanted to keep her just a little longer! (If you ever need a babysitter, we are here for you, seriously!) Fall Mini Sessions!!!

In order to deliver what people really seem to want this time of year, I will be offering a limited number of mini sessions on several Saturdays this fall to help people fulfill their desire to get a quick and easy family portrait or portrait of the kids for their holiday cards. Since this is my first mini session go-round, we will see how it goes!

Meet Precious 13 day old Baby Sage!

This is Andy’s cousin, Scott, and his wife, Starr’s baby Sage! She is their third and their older two are of course excited to have her in the family! You have seen Mr. Nikolas before a few posts ago. We finally got together to finish this shoot with the rest of the family. You can tell Mom and Dad love this little guy and he is just a charmer. Having Halle there to help get him to smile was a huge plus too. Here you go Aimee and Kurt!

And last but not least, they (especially Nikolas!!) were good sports about trying out an idea I borrowed from another photographer, Heather Ward.

I couldn’t ask for a cuter little bundle to have as the first post on my photography blog Libby Lu was such a trooper…and only 6 days old! She loved being swaddled in the basket the most and we didn’t want to move her for the next picture. Just a doll! Congratulations you two, you will make great parents.
